Welcome! You've successfully found the OBSSE Abbey, the virtual home of fun loving Scully fans worldwide. We've almost got the new Abbey complete, though you're sure to run into a bit of construction here and there. After all, our Brothers and Sisters are known to take a break from their work every so often and enjoy some quality time in the lounge, pool, or screening room. Please update your links to point to this as the home of the OBSSE and visit us often for a laugh or to commune with your fellow Sisters and Brothers of The Blessed One.
Your First Visit
If you are new to the OBSSE and wonder what the heck we are, we invite you to get started by taking a look in our Historical Wing to learn about the history of the Order or Chapel to find out more about the life and wisdom of Her Pantsuitedness. Or feel free to wander the Abbey at your leisure. If you think you too have what it takes to be a member, once you get through the Front Gate stop by our Hall of Admittance. Enjoy your visit in our home.
What's New at the Abbey OK, OK, so it is really June 3rd if you're a math geek, but as far as we at Abbey central are concerned it is still May. Why? Well, because today we are proud to deliver today the May edition of News for the OBSSEsed. This 40th edition (yes, that's right, 40th edition and still no pay raises - heck no pay at all) from the hardworking newsletter staff can be found in the Abbey Media Center. Today also marks a milestone at the Abbey, as since we've created our new digs here at www.obsse.com we've had over 100,000 Scully loving fans pass through our heavily guarded Front Gate. It's also been a month of celebration for us with the incredible success of the OBSSE's third annual Scully Marathons. We've left the last two year's totals in the DUST as we near the end of our events and will raise over $50,000 for NF, Inc and other worldwide NF organizations. Not too shabby for an Internet religious order devoted to the worship of a fictional character. Seriously, a big thanks from the OBSSE to all of you who have attended and made these events the huge success and fun time they have been. If you haven't got one yet, we are still selling our marathon T-Shirt through June 10th. So place your orders now! If you want to find out more about our charity work, there's a section in the Historical Wing that discusses the Abbey's history of fundraising efforts for NF, Inc.
The OBSSE mailing list has officially closed to new members. The mailing list is now at 600 members, and unable to accept anymore people at this time.
Spiritual Exercise This month's News for the OBSSEsed is the Abbey's version of a baby shower. Unlike the one we saw on TV, we have no scary baby nurses with vaguely reptilian names and a penchant for switching pre-natal vitamins with (oh the horror) pre-natal vitamins.
